2004 MIKE FRANCOIS CLASSIC
The 2004 Mike Francois Classic show was one of the smoothest running shows in recent years. From the weigh-ins right on through to the evening finals the show ran like a well oiled machine. The field of competitors numbered 110 and they were all very formidable in their respective fields. Once again the Fitness Factory reigned supreme in the figure fields and even a few of the men finished strong as well with Kerry Lind winning the middleweight division to the delight of the crowd. As with previous shows, the light heavyweight, heavyweight and middleweight divisions were the largest which is a testament to the popularity of the sport of bodybuilding in the state of Ohio. Also worthy of mention is the fact that this was one show were the judging seemed to be dead on and in fact I did not hear anyone complain about their placings or anything else of a controversial nature. I would like to send a special thanks to MIKE FRANCOIS, his wife SHANNAN for being gracious hosts and also to RICK BAYARDI for putting up with me all evening.
